Originally a concept for a new cultural museum in the City of Parnu, the design was altered to suit a number of parties interested in the renovation and conservation of the British countryside.
The programme aims to contribute to the competitiveness of agricultural and horticultural farm businesses in England and
Wales. This will be achieved by providing financial support to existing farm businesses to improve the overall performance of their farm through modernisation under a number of key priority investment areas. Two Islands was requested to examine:
- Introduction of new technologies and innovation; – Enhanced occupational safety and business efficiency; – Increased energy efficiency; and – Enhanced environmental status.
Two Islands completed Problem statements for local farmers and an industry Market analysis to identify new business and innovation opportunities. The relationship with tourism and new involvement of stakeholders by proposing parallel business opportunities has been well received. Three farms have received new investment to refurbish disused barns and large sheds, and convert them into cultural museums linking tourism routes and offering investors returns form the proceeds of local tourism.
